Dear Delegates, Greetings!!!

At the outset, my sincere gratitude to all the members of Indian Pharmaceutical Congress Association (IPCA) for giving me the opportunity to serve as the President of 70th Indian Pharmaceutical Congress (IPC).

With a wide history of the development and innovation of Indian Pharmaceutical Sector, the entire Pharmacy fraternity commemorates the 70th valuable conference with the Theme "Pharma Vision 2030: Indian Pharma Industry- A Global Leader". The Conference sought to be organized from 21st-23rd December, 2018 at Amity University Campus, Noida, Delhi NCR would be showcasing Lectures from Internationally Recognized Speakers, Scientific Sessions, Plenary Sessions, Key stakeholders' Meet, Health Startup Hackathon, Placement and Entrepreneurship Fair and a Pharmaceutical Expo.

The conference aims to bring every pharmacy practitioner together to consider ways of extending the role of pharmacists in their respective areas, so that they play a full part in ensuring patients, and health systems, achieve full benefit from the medicines people take.

Taking forward the mission of "Make in India" and "Skill Development", endowment from all delegates is a motivation and enthusiastic factor in making India the Global Pharma Leader, making it self-sufficient in every aspect of Medicine, Biologicals, Vaccines, Medical Devices and Diagnostics.

There is an urgent need to reinforce and rebuild standards with statutory bodies and to restore the confidence of pharmacy graduates. The quality of education has to be improved by industrial participation so that the stakeholders are accepted in the global pharmaceutical industry. The regulatory policies of India are to be harmonized, so that India becomes global leader in pharmaceuticals including generics, API's, Medical Devices and Diagnostics.

The Pharmacy professionals must be educated and empowered to assume the responsibilities and higher level of leadership roles in healthcare sectors.

I take the opportunity to invite the entire Pharma Fraternity to make their invaluable contribution for the success of 70th IPC. Let us join hands in making the 70th IPC a mega event with positive outcomes.
